Having spent his earlier days in his home town of Flint, Michigan, author Ron Rau had the calling to move to Alaska and become a commercial fisherman. In his third book, "As The Gurdy Turns" he recalls some of his fondest memories of working on his boat.
Currently Ron lives in Alaska where he moved to be a commercial fisherman. Although he doesn't catch fish now as he once did, he still enjoys living near the water where he writes books.
